The Links at Fox Meadows Golf Course, is a Public, 18 hole golf course located in Memphis, Tennessee
The Fox Meadows golf course opened in 1957. The course was designed by Chic Adams.
The course was initially a private country club. The city purchased the course in the 1960's and it then became a municipal golf course. It's more upscale beginnings made this the first city-owned course that had lakes and ponds as a part of the landscape. Beginners and poorer players usually avoid this course, due to the aforementioned water hazards as well as the length of the course - it plays the longest of any of the city courses.
Fox Meadows is a big, relatively flat course. Fairways are wide, and the greens are large - at least by public course standards. Most of the holes are straight, or with only a slight bend.

Nice open course. Very reasonably priced. There were a few challenging spots, especially the water on seven. The only problem I had was with the urban kids waltzing along the course and trying to sell balls, then asking to bum a cigarette since I wouldn't buy any golf balls. I would still would recommend to play the course if you get a chance, just don't go out of your way.
